One of our favorite outdoor activities is letterboxing. Veronica has been doing this hobby since July 2001 and introduced Tony to it in April 2002. Letterboxing is a great way to explore new places, meet new people, and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. It combines hiking, navigation, and problem solving to find a letterbox. We have found boxes in seven states, which include CT, RI, MA, ME, NH, VT, and FL. Not only do we find letterboxes, but we have begun to explore the "art" of planting. When we plant a box or hitchhiker we create a website for the finder to notify us of their find. Information regarding this hobby can be found at www.letterboxing.org.
